Whats this world coming to.

Yesterday at liek 4:30 in the afternoon, I was standing in the Mcdonalds lobby in Cedarbrea mall, when I hear a comotion in the food court. So I look, and see a bunch of guy chasing each other around, and think they're just playing. So one of them comes running into the Mcdonalds with blood all over his head, and like six guys, one iwth huge knife, and one with a hammer come charging n after him, chase him behind the counter and proceed to stab him in the head, and beat him with the hammer. None of them were more than 16 or so, and after standing around and listening to staments being given to the police, it seems that this all started over someone giving someone else "a look". People really need to get life. I'm sick and tired of all this stupid **** going on. Since last november, I've seen people fight with weaopons twice, and had my own throught slit with an exacto knife by some young offender who got a slap on the wrist. What is making all these people so angry at so little that they are willing to risk their own live,a and others just over a look?

its all that bandana bullshit and honestly its those kids listening to GANGSTER MUSIC but taking it the wrong way.
they don't realize that the guys that make that music don't live like that....
honestly i saw a 16 year kid call on a 40 year old man that would eat him alive cause he bumped him in a PACKED MALLL like the Scarbough towncenter. the kid was all thuged out too the hole nine and the guy had MacDonalds with him to go feed his kids and wife.
i felt like running over and pushing the PUNK KID away just so that nothing would happen but then that probably start something sooo no.
And theres also the whole you just step on my new kicks BULLSHIT, if someone stepped on your shoes don't ******* flip out it happens and the worst thing that could happen is YOU CAN CLEAN THEM OFF!!!! **** man if they went to a METAL CONCERT and pulled that **** they get there asses kicked in cause it happens all over that MOSH PIT!! (i love them)

But also i think it comes down to the parents that don't punish their kicks that do bad stuff, i used to get my *** kicked in (not really but almost lol) for doing any bad, and now a days kids get away with ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING like beening all rude to there mothers like not repecting them or not even listening to them in the first place.

nowaday i also see KIDS and i mean like little kids smoking cigs and weed and drinking like WTF i didn't know what any of that was untill i was like i dunno 17 (will i knew about the cigs atleast) so i dunno the future of this world to me is looking scary and i really don't think there is anything to stop it cause thereare so many other ppl that will fight back and its retard for the otherside to fight back over something that is only for the better

yeah it's so true, parents are soo slack on punishing their kids they get away with everything, i remember when i was a kid, i'd get spanked silly if i did something really really wrong, but nowadays i see parents just putting up with what their kids are doing, and it's honestly a shame, these kids are going to grow up the most undisciplined generation ever... i remember when i was in grade 9 1st year of highschool and an OAC told you to shut up you'd shut up otherwise you'd get the crap kicked out of you more or less, and two years ago when i was in highschool the grade 9's were the mouthiest bunch ever, it's not even funny such mouths on little 4 1/2 foot kids when i'm 6'4", and on top of all the slackness from parents, our justice system just slaps the wrists of kids saying they didn't really know what they were doing and giving them probation will fix the problem........ i dunno if a kid attacks someone with a knife he needs alot more than probation to fix his head....

A 17 year old, cut my throught last year with an exacto knife, and it took 20 staple to close back up. I came really close to dying, and have been told by numerous different doctors that they don't know how I got lucky enough to live through it. Anyways, at the court days, his mother is always giving me cut eye, like I'm the one that did something wrong, and doesn't seem to have a problem with the fact that her son planned and tried to kill me for no reason at all. It takes a psycho to do what he did, and my lawyer has told me that because of his age, and the fact that it is his first offense, will get alterniative measures, and have to write an essay or something likt that. The night he was arrested he was let out on his own recognisance without bail, and the only conditions were that he not talk to anyone that was at the party that it happened at. Just after I turned 18, so when I was only like 6 months older than he was, I got arrested with a half ounce of weed, was kept in jail all night, my parents had to post our house as a surety for my bail, and my terms were to stay out of the city that I was busted in, a 9 oclock cerfew, follow the rules of the home, not drink/use drugs, and a bunch of other bullshit. Maybe it's just me, but I think that trying to kill someone should come with a greater penalty than selling a half ounce of pot.

Those punks don't know how to fight 1-on-1. They think a fair fight is 16-1.

I've had my share of weapons offences but I learned my lesson.

This happens everywhere. It happened right across the street from where I work. In 1996, a bunch of kids beat a 15 year old boy to death with baseball bats in between two sets of entrance doors at Limeridge mall in Hamilton. This was during the day while the mall was busy. The kids responsible pretty much got away with it.

Makes me sick.

What night???

And to be honest, I never filled out a victim impact statement. About 10 days after this happened, my dad went into a coma cause of stroke caused during surgy to tremove brain tumors, and that kinda took away any impact from my own incindent. I couldn't truthfully say how getting cut impacted me cuz something so much worse happened just after, that I prety much imediately forgot about it.

I have to agree with what everyone is saying. I live in Scarborough as well, and have seen my fair share of stupidity. I just don't understand the logic that some of these kids have, I mean someone looks at you and thats it, its time to fight him or her. Granted, we had similar problems when I was younger, but things were not as bad as they are now. Fights happend back then, but at least there was some logic behind their cause (not that that justifies them). Anyways, I am sick and tired of this so called "gang mentality" that a lot of kids seem to have these days, and I agree that the legal system needs to do a hell of alot more about them.

Just my 2 cents.

Totally agree with all of you. I'm 18, and I've seen to much of this crap. Like little 14 year old bums took over my school in the past 2 years. Like when I was their age we treated OAC's with respect, or were freind's with them. Now these punks think they're running ****, my *** they are. They wouldn't last a week in the REAL rough areas of the GTA. I'm so happy I'm out of highschool. I stopped by my school to pick up some documents like 2 weeks ago, and like it's all punks. Everyone thinks they're a thug. An old buddy had his watch taxed (which his gf gave him) by a group of guy who dont even go there. This happened like 2 sec before I saw him. Our generation is screwed. Most ppl I knew when I was a kid are either drop outs, drug addicts, in jail, house arrest, dissapeared, etc etc. I've had a lot of family and personal problems over the last few years, but I never turned to drugs, or alcahol to run away from my problems. I was a shitty student but that's because there was nothing I wanted to learn that was being taught. Teachers dont give a **** from what i've seen. But no matter what, no matter how crap my grades were or how much class I missed, i am focussed. I know what I want to do with my life exactly, know what to study, and am working my *** off within the industry to gain experience, and build a reputation. I'm the most focuessed 18 year old I know. The majority of these kids today are pure bums.
