Question: For those of you that are born in Canada, when people ask you where you're from, what do you say?
I say I'm Canadian (since I've been born and raised here thats how I tend to think of myself)
Just curious...

however if an american asks that question of me ... I ussually say "I'm from canada eh? I just hear of a new technology called a house eh? it'll sure beat my igloo eh? ohh and I can give my dog sled team a room of their own eh? and I'll be warm eh? I know it's july eh? but this 6 feet of snow just doesn't seem to disappear eh?"
I find in canada when asked "so where you from?" it's more acceptable to give the family background... saying your canadian does seem to be "polite" in canadain society ...just my social veiw on this country

I do the same thing. If an american asks, I'll answer Canadian and always finish with 'eh'.
