who has a boat and what kind?
im thinking of picking up a small 2 seater this summer. Something like 14ft with a 40hp on it etc.
Either that or a small seaflea with a 15hp on it, just for a small toy to play with once in awhile. I never had any cool boats when I was young...

I have a 14 foot fiberglass fishing boat with a 1997 merc 15hp, lowrance X70A fishfinder, nav/allround lights, bowmount minnkota. Its a great boat to tool around in. I just put 2 new seats in this weekend Its actually pretty quick and stable. Its small enough to get into lakes a full size bass tourny boat wont go, which is where the best fishin is. I tow it to all the lakes with my EG on a EZloader 15 foot trailer. Basically the biggest boat the car will tow safely....
I also have a 10 foot zodiac, its in pretty rough shape tho, I dont really use it anymore... the 15 beat the hell out of it (rated for a 9). Great boats tho if you dont have the room to keep a boat in the driveway! Light fast and portable. I used to pack the whole boat and motor into my coup. Used market is good too$$cheap.
We used to build sea fleas when we were younger (I grew up in muskoka) They are a blast to drive around, but the novlety wears off, especially if you only have one. Its more fun with two people. The other thing is the water has to be glass or else they take nose dives risking your motor.
There are full sets of plans on Muskokaseaflea.ca for free. As long as you have some basic carpentry tools and fiberglass skills you can build one with ease. Look around long enough you will find a nice 15 for under 800$, then a basic build will cost around 1500...3000 will get you fully equipped, nice paint, fairings, steering, throttle..
I practically grew up on a boat! My parents have a 30foot doral I used to spend all my summers on touring georgian bay.

I had a 16ft Cadorette Bowrider w/ 100 hp merc last summer...It wasn't bad. It fit lots of people, but the boat would broach like a muthafukka; you were constantly turing back and forth at slow speeds trying to keep it straight. Poor hull design, IMO. The engine was a two-four design, meaning it ran on two cylinders at low rpm and four at high rpm. The problem was that it always got confused and would bounce between two and four at idle and then stall out...stupid design.
I want another bowrider now...They can be had under 5K all in.

I really dig the Sea-Doo jetboats. Almost as fun as a Sea-Doo, but you can carry more people.

its all about the seadoo boat thats powered by an actual seadoo that comes off the boat so u can anchor the main vessel and dislodge the seadoo and boogie around while others fish or whatever...I dont know if they make it anymore tho
