who here mountain bikes? i want to get some info on what bikes would be good and stuff like that... i know some people do because i asked gatherer. Dented dx... help me out and any others

i bike is a bike pending its not from crappy tire... and like everything you get what you pay for....

i used to be hardcore but then my modded up bike got stolen and i had just bought the civic so i gave it up.... next spring i'm gonna get back into it though

as for lock get really thick chain at homedepot or crappy tire and grab a nice $30 lock and it should be pretty safe in daytime, anything overnite and i will pretty much guarrentee you it will be gone in the morning

 

Hey zc the norco your refering to is a downhill bike. I'm not sure what type of riding you plan on doing but that is something you should figure out before buying. If you have any questions regarding bikes let me know. I use to manage a bicycle/snowboard store so i'm familiar with this stuff. I still have hook ups there so depending on where your from i can help you out or send you to the shop.

 

I have a GIANT ATTRACTION mountain bike...dont need it if anyone wants to buy it...

 

i plan on doing some singletrack but with some large drops. 8 or 10 feet. and i dont really think my lightweight mountain/road will hold up to that. Im from around Bellville or kingston if you could hook me up with the model i sayed earlier in a 04 model if you could hook me up cheaper than local i would make the trek in for it... dun really need it til spring tho so im just researching prices. Hullzey, can you get me a price and find if there are any sales between now and spring thakns alot guys

 

i have a giant atx 860... upgraded a few parts here and there...
i mostly go to glen eden they have some nice trails there in the summer..

 

I've got a Giant Sedona SE, paid $300 for it, best deal i ever got!
I love rideing in the forest and to work in the summer.

 

I got a shitty ccm 300 dollar bike.....it weights a ton has **** bearings and is pretty much garbage for anything....it takes soooo much mroe energy to keep it going....and at high speed the rims have a wobble to them so it touches the brakes......it's a hot machine...I use to ride it 15-20 km's a day last year....but now my legs are so small that I cant' hack it anymore but next summer I'm going to build my legs back up...and get a good bike
