Depends on by whom - the government or by a company you pay to do it.

Full audits are usually done by companies every 5 years, while Year-End are annually. Full audits are basically crossing the T's and dotting the I's, but can be messy because you require 5 year's worth of info, versus 1 year's.

Well, a company audit is easier because a company usually holds onto receipts, papers, etc, but a personal audit - you have to have 5 years worth of receipts, old T4's, etc etc, talk about a nightmare,,,

You would have to look it up, it should be in the tax package that they sent you.

Just do your taxes normally, have receipts that are needed and you'll be fine. Go over everything, don't push big numbers and exaggerate, and you'll get a decent sized return.

It's all about having receipts. Worse comes to worse, you give them the receipts, and they disallow a part of the return, no biggy. But if you get caught without receipts, that's when they bust your cajones, capiche?

that would be kinda hard to do considering that i only have one bedroom

I usually go to H&R Block

I find that is the only way I can see what the return I will be getting right away.

Dude, just do it yourself, save the money, it only takes an hour or so, tops, depending, of course, on how much stuff you have to claim. I did my gf's last year, took me 25 minutes, easy peasy, and she was just finished university.

i do my own too, and my mom does a bunch of my friends for like $20... i couldnt' be bothered to do other peoples taxes...

unless you have a house or something serious taxes are real easy to do...

don't forget that interest paid on certain types of loans is deductible!!
