your place is a good mix... you don't want to be surrounded by 18 year olds drunk 24-7.. at least you wanna eat lunch at 2pm without too much screaming and yelling...
the pool snackbar was essentially the best food station there... deep fried hotdogs and burgers.

At night it was live, with mid aged people, it was pretty good.

nice....i stayed at the same resort and it MADE my trip. i love cuba and the barcelo solymar was the right choice. close to everything. make sure you check out la rhumba. probably the best club there.

we went to la rumba the first night.. it's alright on weekends.. but they play a lot of spanish music... every round we would get would be a 26er.. thirteen guys... doubles... the bartender was giving me a stack of cups and the bottle at one point.
it's good to stand out there.. they will remember you and the $5 you gave them.. i had a mohawk and extensions in my goatee to about 8 inches.
havana club plays the same set everynight.. but it's the only place that's packed with people.. we took a cab to pirates cove.. where apparantly wednesday is the busy night... there were 4 old people, so we took another cab to havana club... that was our most expensive night.

havana club was pretty good
but pirates cove was wicked, one of the coolest clubs ive been to.
and ya, the locals are really friendly. i ended up giving the all night bar tender a shirt of mine, he said they dont have any access to half decent brand names. so i gave him the shirt and he gave me cigars and 3 or 4 bottles of havana club

wen i went i stayed at a resort in cienfuegos. i forget the name but it was amazing. sexy sexy cuban *****es that loved to drink and dance. all in all cuba=great times for tourists.
p.s. if u go into town on like a tour bus or somethin, bring some bath stuff from the resort for the ppl on the street. its kinda sad cuz they beg u for just soap or a hat. even just peanuts.
