you cannot have anything larger than 100 mL in your carry on. they will confiscate liquids, gels and aerosol cans over 100 mL.. one person in our group lost a bottle of DG cologne that way..

Friends just returned from vacation, ended up having to pay an extra $30 because of the weight of their luggage.

They left most of their toiletries at the resort, in order not to have to pay extra on the way home.

with regards to overweight luggage.. on the way back, the cubans take bribes.. i was 11 kg overweight.. yes, my luggage was 31 kg instead of 20... at 5 convertible pesos for each kg, they wanted 55 pesos (about 70 CAD) for the overweight fee... i slid the lady 20 pesos on on the side, and she looked the other way.. everyone takes bribes there

1L

I usually bring back two 26ers and declare them.

customs would cost like $5 at most.. so they don't bother.

it's 1.14L of liquor, 1.5L of wine, or 24x355mL of beer if you have been away for longer than 48hrs.

on the way back just declare everything you have, like Mr. Fee said, at worse you will pay a few pennies in duties, most of the time they will let it slide..

if you get caught with undeclared alcohol, the fine is $450 per bottle, and you get a record

maybe she's on dial up using a proxy server.

i always declare everything and don't act too respectful.. since i assumed i would get pulled over to the side, i acted accordingly and they stopped asking me to open up my luggage.

red jumpsuits with no metal at the airport FTW
