Who's been to NYC?? Winter time...

I want to plan a trip for my girlfriend and I to go to NYC for her b-day weekend (Jan 2-4). This is going to be my x-mas/b-day/v-day gift
I've been to New York City during summer months and I love it!!! Does anyone know if its still as beautiful and awesome (some1 who's been there and is a city person knows the feeling) during the winter as it is in the summer?

My plans:
2 nights in a Times Square Hotel
Helicopter tour
Dinner cruise
Comedy club
Get drunk and party NY style!
oh yeah.. sight seeing....

Hotel and attraction tips would appreciated

I was just there 2 weekends ago and stayed at the Crown Plaza in Times Square...

Beautiful Hotel....

Take your skates and go Ice Skating in Central Park or Rockerfeller Centre....

Don't forget to take her on a Carriage Ride though Central Park after Dark...Cost I think $55 US

Yes a carriage ride and ice skating is key!! She'll love it.
I checked out the Crown Plaza Hotel but its a but too pricy, cheapest rate was $233usd/night. I hate how our dollar fell so much since the summer
I found the Portland Square Hotel which is on 47th and Broadway, reallly close to Times Square and would only cost me $300usd for both nights.

Did you go to any bars or clubs when you were there?

47th and Broadway is still a good location....

We hit a little Irish Pub one night but no clubs....

We actually went to see the Leafs play the Rangers at MSG....

I've lived in NY for about 5 years and I have to agree that it snows more over there than here, but at the same time it doesn't get as cold there as it does here, or if it does, it doesn't last as long.

Hotel Thirty Thirty is pretty decent. There is so much to do in NYC your girlfriend will love it. I have to agree that the carriage ride through central park & ice skating would be perfect
