i'll never race on the street, because A - i drive a 1.6EL and B i drive a 1.6EL. its 127hp it can barely beat a smartcar, so why race.
sadly i've had people rev to and edge ahead and even want to race on the 401, i just shook my head thinking hey smart guy, were already doing 130, what are we going to race to Mississauga to scarborough....genius.
ricer cars are always the ones wanted to race too, its funny. they must have watched fast and furious on city TV that night or something.

I was on my home one night after work.....had my neons on, just cruisin.....next thing I know this black Eclipse Spider rolls up next to me. I look (It's a nice car). He looks at me and revs his engine.
I just laughed! I'm thinking, "Buddy! Spyder vs Civic Reverb. LOL...yeah....I'd have a hope in hell!" LOL
I guess he thought I was laughing to be arrogant. He peeled out and ripped it down the street.
Once again I laughed.....and laughed even harder when we both stopped at the next red light!
People are idiots!

down here i rarely get revved on, probably cuz almost everyone knows me and knows i dont race.
i get launched on by older people all the damn time though, WAY more than kids. like 40 year old guys in silverados or 40 year old ladies in ford windstar mini-vans. the 60 year old hot rodders launch on me, even cops launch on me. motorcycles too.
i once had a 80ish year old man in a lincoln town car stare me down one time, and then he took off when the light changed.

So far in Vic I have not had anyone want to race, which is kinda sad cuz i enjoy laughing at them at the light, then watching them give her on the green while i sit and laught some more. Back in Ontario though people always wanted to race. Even when i was driving a beater...
