Why do some contries drive on the left, and others on the right?
Here is a little quiz
why do some nations drive on the right instead of the left?

goes back in time when people used wagons and horses...and since most people are right handed so naturally you would draw your weapon with your right hand...and if the person u passed by was shady you would be ready to attack and or defend yourself...so people in old times always drove on the left...so in essence we are the backwards ones

oh and americans used a different style horse and carriage than the brits so they used the right hand to whip the horses and tings so it was easier to sit on the left so u can be in a more central whipping locale...thus drive on the right, passerbys on the left same security reasons exist
then americans invented the car and other adopting nations chose to use the north american style opposed to the british style...then u have colonies of such places that adopt their parental country's ways...

actually your almost right
americans drive on the right side because with the invention of firearms, the holster was kept on right right side and drawn with the right hand. You would walk to protect your wepon so people would pass you on the left.
Other crontries still used swords, this was kept on the left side and drawn with the right hand, therefore in order to protect the weapon people passed each other on the right side.

This is true. There was a show on pbs or whatever, channel 2, i cant remember the name right now but they covered this topic. Its about drawing swords with your right hand to protect yourself on roads or whatever. I dunno i drank too much tonight.
