Dude, I love this board! You're so right! Check out jdmcivic.com...everyone rags on everyone else, busts up each others cars and mods, anything goes. The board is full of haters! It's worse than CSi in my opinion. What's up with these JDM lovers hating on everything non-JDM?? I don't get it.

I have nothing against it, but it seems like some of those people who buy Rota because there cheaper and cant afford the real thing like spoon, rag on people who dont buy rota or other stuff, and think if ur not JDM wanabe your car is trash?

I persoanlly dont like Rota rims, they look too plain, and black rims on black car doens't float my boat, but I never talk trash about the persons ride, its their style and I respect that.

bbarburlo, you from Windsor? I was born and raised in Chatham! Maybe it's the southwestern hospitality?

Well who cares about what other people think anyway?

If you're proud of your car then you're proud of your car. So what if some Porsche driver comes along and says that about your Civic? Who cares man..pride isn't everything. Just as long as you're proud of your own project, nothing else matters.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, so so what if some people have some things about some other cars?

What's it to you loudsubz?

If i see a car that's done up nicely, even if i don't like the car, i'd still give them props. But just look at all the ricey **** that's out there..

I try to keep my mouth shut even if I dont like the persons car, I have enough respect for everyone to not go around saying "your car is crap because its a metro" or "why did you mod that piece of garbage accent"

I just think that some things are better left unsaid, than there will be peace.

daquel...I have been in Windsor since 1996, but 1998-2002 I was in Waterloo doing my Econ degree. Before 1996 I was in Ottawa, and before 1992, I was back in Sarajevo, Bosnia, former Yugoslavia. So maybe it's the southern hospitality or maybe it's just cause we're not haters

sjwong, it's kinda hard to be proud of a project when every corner you turn results in people pointing and laughing, and talking ****. So after a while you start to doubt yourself. I figure, that's how ugly girls figure out they're ugly

loudsubs...I have rims that look like Rota Circuit 8, they are actually ADR spiders, and are now 4 years old. I knew of the JDM movement back then, but I wasn't copying Mugen styles or anything...I just liked the look of them, and I bought them used so I got a good deal. Now all the ppl at jdmcivic.com rag on me...why? I wasn't talking about ppl on this board...everyone here is so cool. But it's the "hardcore" JDM-ers that drive LHD cars, but still pretend like they are in Japan. They are the hypocrites. They dish out the most hate. Personally, I don't want my car to look JDM. Anything that is of good quality and serves a purpose, I'm down with. The way I see it, every car does something well...like the Crysler minivans....cheap car and lotsa room! See, you can find something good about every car.

i don't think this subject just relates to cars...

electronics... brand A vs. brand B
computers... program A vs. program B
services... company A vs. company B

i think some people feel the need to critisize others choices to help justify thier own...
i also think that alot of people like following and going with majority...

2cents

loudsubz, what have you done that you're not proud of. Do you mean modification wise, or ragging on someone's ride - wise

Well since my car is almost stock, except stereo, its more along the lines of me putting down some rides I see cause they have windsheidl squirter leds etc.

I really dont like the way my friend modded his mx-3 (banner, LED squirters, etc.) and used to rag on his ride, but I gotta learn to grin and bear it because not everyone has same taste as me.

Speaking from the heart can be good in some ways but may offend some in other ways! Just be aware of what you say as to not offend others! If you don't care, then be prepared to be bashed by others! Yeah it's all good if you can handle it!

all i know is a hater is a hater.....

as as far as i am concerend **** em all

guys like canindian and those homos can all go ride a dick for all i care

I like cars, I like engines, I like v12's, I like 4 bangers, Love turbos, Respect NA's, admire germans, Praise japanese, but most of all i DONT HATE ANYTHING

why?

cause one day you have a girl walk up to you and say i love you and i drive a civic with a d15 and an slush box auto tranny that peaks at about 170 on the high way and handles like a big wheel in a puddle. If you hate her for that you may lose one of the best things you'll have ever had, and if you love her for it and embrace ALL THING no matter how inferior you learn to make lemons into lemonaid

Need i say more?

I don't agree with that comment..........

I belong to another car club as well (7+ years now)(because of my old car). When I had an accident last year, I bought the Civic. The first thing out of my "other" car club was....."ohhhhhh.......you bought a Jap crap!".

Then they asked if I was going to do up the motor.........I said eventually.........then they said..."I guess that's ok then"

The final car show that we had in Bradford this year, had over 300 cars in it. The even had different calses for the best of show trophies.

The head honcho even went as far as setting up one more class just for me and any friends I might of brought along........it was "Best Import" (he said they were going to name it best Jap crap, but I knew he was joking.)

Civic boy came with me that day, as well as some of my other friends. We even had our own section.

The funny part was that MY car was the one that everyone kept comming by to look at, but guess who won? An OLD RX-7 with a Chevy big block in it.

Becuase of me, there is one other Civic (6th gen) in the club now.

Even the head honcho was thinking of getting a Civic too.........his exact words...."You guy's can get WAY more toys for these things than we can get for ours".

You are more than welcome to come up next year to check it out if you want.

I'll see if I can post some pics for that show.
