when i was with www.tht.net I was downloading 372K/sec and upload 80K/sec for $**/month. And Rogers can increase speed as much as they want, but:

#1 it's always gonna be slow on a shared cable segment unless noone is on which doesn't happen much in a city of 3 million people

#2 I find Rogers to be the bitchiest ISP when it comes to people transfering a lot.

Have you heard of multiply DL's from multiply users when you are DL'ing music or movies?

Say you are connected to 14 users that you are DL'ing a file from (the same file), and they are all uploading at around 200kb. What do you think your DL speed would be?

Your arguments would be so much more compelling if you could spell. Better yet if you were able to structure your sentences so that we could understand them without wasting time trying to interpret them.

No I have not heard of multiply DL's from Multiply users....

Its called Kazaa.
Don't sink down to nit picking grammatical errors, it's just lame.

As for rogers, yes, they are now advertising 3Mbits, which is what it USED to be when it first started, and they slowly lowered it to slow crap. Basically we're now getting what many of us were paying for years ago.

Thats strange, last time I was using my connection, I can download at 300 k most the time, 360 max, and upload anywhere between 20 - 35 k.

that is slow tho... for the same price you can have cogego cable and download at over 600kbs, and upload at 65 kbs... Cogego just upped my cap a few weeks ago from 45-65kbsup and from 500-6** download, Im impressed again, as well as thier bullet proof reliability

I downloaded a movie the other day at 650kbs! Its quicker than going to the movie store to rent it lol...
