I use a windows xp laptop for work and it is rock solid. It has SP3 installed, and it never crashes because I only load the nessessities on it, and like bruce said, I dont have a million different toolbars installed for IE.

Linux has its market, so does windows.

another thing i like is MicroXP its awesome, i use it as a sandbox in ESXi environment just to execute anything malicious. its only like 80 mb and has full windows environment and all the services (well all the messesary) great for testing stuff.

minimum 16gb of disk space...wow

i never have probs with xp unless my kids are careless...thats not often because i taught them well about what is and isnt cool to download and install.

I'm using Windows 7 right now and so far its been pretty good...well really good actually, everything works as it should and I'm not even using a new computer. My box is a good 6years old now 2.4ghz 1GB memory and its running fairly smooth.

I'll play around with it for a while...first impressions of it are pretty good though

microsoft has the resources to make it work

if microsoft software has a problem, and it effects a good deal of their customers, they will push through a fix.

if linux software has a problem, 5 guys work on it as hard as they can when they're not playing ultimate or practicing for their indie rock band.
