Windshield crack!

Windshield crack!

Driving down the 404 this morning, went to clear the windshield with smurf juice (washer fluid)all of a sudden I hear a crack!! A small star crack at the center of my f*&%^3g windshield!!

Damn cold weather

That's wierd...I'm sure the smurf juice had nothing to do with it...prolly a rock, no? I mean, unless you had the heat blasting and put ww fluid that was -20 on...but usually the windshield stays cool due to the air passing over it.

Nonetheless, there was prolly a crack there to begin with. On my winter beater, there was a small crack when I bought it, but it passed safety since it wasn't in the field of vision...but now I watch it get bigger daily. This year I'll just have a new windshield put in for next winter.

So replace it... do some phoning around and find a glass place that will pay your deductable - won't cost you a penny.

Did you go through insurance?? Why don't you pay the decdutable? Reason I'm asking is my small chip has ****** due to the cold weather now I need a new windshield too. Any info will help!
