I've done some more looking around and Cozumel looks like a fun spot. But, it is true, vacations are a good as you make them. So, either Varadero, Punta Cana or Cozumel I'm sure it will be a good time. Scuba diving in Cozumel would be sick!

Cozumel is WONDERFUL!!!

It's a small island, but if you're into scuba, it's a haven for divers. Also, the town is not huge, but there's enough to do, and the resorts range from a short walk into town to a reasonable taxi ride. There's also an airport on the island.

One drawback--many cruise ships stop there, so if you're planning on doing any shopping, do it when the ships don't dock; they raise the prices for the tourists on those days, hahahaha.

The island is small enough to rent a vehicle of some sort and drive around the entire thing. The water is crystal clear and the weather was fantastic in January. Also, you're only about a 1/2hr boat ride from Playa Del Carmen, so there's tons to do, if that's what you're looking for.

(Hey Bond, what do you think of that 'travel destination' write-up? *wink*)
