well, i found my car...i am going to pick it up tomorrow pending my mechanics final say...the car is a 1996 civic dx..power nothing...it comes with a ractive exhaust, adn a ractive intake ,which looks like a shitty install..the car is from trust auto and is 5speed..the car has an aftermarket sunroof well ,its only tilt....the car is black with black tints and actually black interior...very hard to find....the car has been ina n accident ,and the trunk and back bumper have been replaced as well as the left taillight...the trunk looks like a shitty paintjob..not soo shiny....the rest of the car looks shiny..its got 140 clicks....the used car lot, claimed that they will fix the install on the battery ,since the terminal looked loose..they will wash and clean the car ,adn interior and engine bay...although it was alright..not too shiny...the air conditioner fluid has leaked out..they will fix it and refill it....the car has an auto tape deck ,but i have a replacement pm3 waiting..but hte autoi deck does not work..i am guessing that they wil intall my deck for free...it also comes with an aftermarket alarm ,but hte battery in the key chain died, so i can't try it....the price is 5,800.wut does everyone think...

i still have to buy a plate and sticker...so add an extra 100

i have cash, and they still want to charge me tax..15%

wut should i do......they want close to 6785 for the car...is it worth it...or walk the hell out

I hate the thought of an accident car, and the intake/exhaust tells you that some kid drove the **** out of it...5,800 cash would be a good buy tho...

like i know that i am lowballing and i am not paying a lot for my car....its a pretty cheap buy....since i am loooking at some of the lowest priced cars...i am getting a 6th gen for 6800....usually some 5th gens go for more....stock.....

but, usually the good 6th gens ,the better conditioned 1996-1997 si or dx's cost 8 grand..am i rite

5800 aint bad, seems to be a lot wrong with it, but Id prolly still buy it for that much, long as it runs nice.

if you don't mind the headaches... ok, but it sounds like the car's in trouble and very neglected!!! I'd rather pay more for a nicer condition STOCK car, or a nicely modded one.

Make sure you look at it closely, these used car shops are idiots and they lie a lot. I took a look at a 98 hatch the other day and I knew a lot more than the fool and I cut him up every second, i spoted every little thing wrong with it and I also pointed out every single spot on the car it has been hit and he said it wasn't in any accidents and the best thing of it all is that he wanted me to buy another car off of him b/c I made him look like *** and he showed me a 92 vx h/b and he said it came with a new faster engine so im like let's see the motor, and I told him that it was stock and laughed at his face, he's like really im like yup. ******* idiots.

Anyway to get back on topic, with all of those problems with that 96 I wouldn't get it, try to get a car non painted with no accidents and something non done up b/c who knows how butched the job is let alone beaten the hell out of, If your interested in the car offer him something a bit lower like $5000 or $5500 certified and e-tested.

okey..the idiot doesn't wanna budge.......so i went up to check the car ,and he stil lwouldn't let me test drive it..he said again that his plate is missing...someone had just taken it out...wut a fokin idiot...

so, i found another guy....1996 civic dx silver....150 km...mint..clean title...completly stock adn all service records...he lives in ottawa...and is prepared to drive down...he says the car is flawless, and will certify adn emission it for me....man i just got lucky.....

but ,hte sad part is my insurance just jumped to 3600 adn with my new car..i pay 4000

Factors like having been in an accident, various mechanical problems, previously modded, and being sold by a small used car lot make me say, find something else.

well, hte guy from ottawa is supposed to call me.....my dad spoke to him....i told him i would pay for his time to drive down ,and pay for his hotel room and board and his airfare back..he seemed quite nice...thanks guys..(but i will send his *** back on grey hound...)
