exactly...i don't care for the hdd space too much b/c i wont be able to rip games on there anyway...and i don't store music....so hdd space isn't a huge factor
i need something which i can play online and just get the benefits of the xbox360 without breaking the bank....they both use the same chipset and output the same graphics correct?

all of them can get the problem, it happens when the mother board gets to hot and flexes, the x clamp mod usually fixes it if its out of the 3 year warranty. i have heard the cooling is better on the elite, but have yet to see proof. and besides no one i know has gotten the RROD(red rings of death) on either the elite or the 60gb.
i just bought a 360, i wanted the 20gb but they dont sell it anymore, the arcade wasnt worth it you dont get a hd, headset and if you buy those seperate it comes out to more than the 60gb model and besides it doesnt have an ethernet port.
The elite wasnt worth it for me, 120 gb is too much memory for me, i cant even fill that on my laptop let alone a console i use solely for gaming. if i want to play my music while im playing i just plug my ipod into the usb and play from that, cool feature i must say. but unless you plan to use it as a media center and copy music and videos over from your computer, id say get the 60gb, but if you plan to use it as a media center get the 120gb.

I have 9.7GB free on my 20GB Xbox360. Just a few DLC's and save files for five or six games. A lot of the space is already used when you first get the system, but other than putting games on there I don't see why you would need 120GB.
Putting the game on the hard drive does not speed it up as much as I thought so I have not done it with anything yet. This article I read saw only minimal gains on the few games that they tried: http://www.gamespot.com/hardware/blo...n-testing.html
