Hey do any of you guys have Xbox, and are picking up Xbox Live today? Cause I'm gonna pick it up, It'd be cool to play aginst fellow TCC members.

maybe after exams are over we can set this up

we have an xbox, but i dont understand what u mean by xbox live?

 

burn, it means you can play online by hooking it up to your internet line

49.95 US so i'm assuming like 79 bucks or so here? plus tax, also it only comes with a demo cd so if you really want it to be worth it you should splurge and buy a game too, some places are giving deals like 30 bucks of the price of a XBOX Live game if you buy it at the same time as the Live package.... i'm going to buy LIVE after exams i think, 1st off it'd be too distracting right now, also i need to get a network cable to run the length of my basement cuz the computer is like 30 feet away from my XBOX, but i'll be on for sure,

and 3 on 3 halo is good, but you need to try 4 on 4 with 4 xboxes! mmmm and if you're really into crazyness there's nothing like 8 on 8 Slayer! you'll get more than your fill of in half the time!

 

yo that new game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell looks awesome! makes me feel like trading in my Ps2 for an XBox!

yeah you get one year subscription but they still haven't said what the renewal rate is going to be, and yeah Splinter Cell is what i'm buying! i played the demo and it's amazing! i've been looking for a strategy game after a bunch of first person shooters that were pure action and i finally found a 3rd person strategy game! woohoo!!

reminds me of the whole Rainbow Six trilogy!

what can't tom clancy do? he makes wicked books, movies, and video games!

 

I used a router/hub to split my cable connection to my comp and my xbox. It was actually really easy to do, I had to do a lil manual configuration but the xbox live site actually told me how to do it properly As for games, I'm playing whacked and moto gp till I find something I like, possibly unreal tournament, SiG lemme know once you get it, it'll be kickass to play online with TCC members.

 

how much do you think a router or hub would run? probably better if i talk to you inperson next time i see you, i want to know what all the stuff i need is so i can play it as soon as i buy it, there's nothing worse than buying a new toy and finding out you can't use it till tommorow cuz you're missing something.....

 

i bought my router its a d-link for 49.99..well **.99 plus 20$ mail in rebate.
that was a pretty good deal, dont know if they still have that at Staples business depot

 

I paid like 100 bucks for my netgear one, theres a list on xbox.com/live on which routers are compatible and which aren't, you should prolly check that b4 you buy one.

HALO 2!!! halo is the best game ever, i'm buying that in advance showing up in the store the day it's released and going to play it all day, don't care when..... i heard it might be released later tho, like christmas 2003..... but i like the july thing better

 

that sounds hype!..we have xbox too and i can't wait to get the xbox live...can you guys name more good fighting games
