just put the XP Home cd in and change your bios setting so it'll boot from the cdrom and than do an install, and it'll format your hard drive and bring the computer back up like you bought it except for any other added software that came with it. but you'll have a clean install of xp on a formatted drive.

Backup everything.
1.) Go to bios, and make it so its boots from cd first, floppy, then HDD.
2.) Stick in a boot disk first so you get into dos, then type format c: (/q if you want to do it quickly)
3.) Stick in windows XP cd, and type restart in dos.
4.) Follow on screen instructions, and reinstall windows.
