York students sue York
I saw something on the news about them asking for their money back.
Who thinks this is reasonable or unreasonable.
I think it's definately reasonable and they should get it back and they should be asking for more. I'd ask for my money back and a years tuition paid.

They are offering 25% off tuition for next term. The pisser is that, why didn't they just give the greedy teachers their raise in the first place? I feel sorry for the students working their asses off to pay for their tuition. This whole issue should be illegal.

Its resonable, get all your moneys back and more if possible... I don't understand how making $50-60,000 a year is not enough... I understand they put up with a lot of **** from dumbass students but man, everyone says unions are good but when the economy is taking a **** they do nothing but cause more trouble.

they should get some money back, it's not there fault the teachers are on strike. Now they have to stay longer, and it ****s up any of them that are over here on a visa right now, and have to go back soon. they are mostly ****ed.

i thought the TAs were on strike, not the profs.
classes should have gone on and profs should have picked up the slack. after all they all make six figures, some up to a quarter mil.
i'd be pissed, and ya, unions gotta go. that being said i was a TA at U of T, and we are fat paid - i hear york is even better pay!

Yeah if you ask me the offers from the government or whoever are more then reasonable. Whoever can do it needs to say screw you, you're all fired. We'll hire people who will do it for what we offer.

I read somewhere that the York T/A's are the highest paid in Canada already. Something just over $60 hr. Not too bad, so what are they complaining about.
Know what they say about teachers???
Those who cant do, teach.

Striking in general pisses me off. There shouldn't be a legal way to strike. I have a few friends who have been screwed, but for some reason are some of the few that aren't complaining to hell. Don't know why, I certainly would be.
In theory, since the strike was infact legal, isn't it terribly hard, if not impossible, to sue? Just hope for someone or some group to push for a deal?
