yeah they do get outragious salaries, the only thing is that they dont work many hours. if im not mistaken 10h/week or something like that. so they dont make crazy money, but i mean with all this time wasted picketing and striking, the money they gonna gain [if they gonna gain anything] will be pointless since they have been pay-free for 3 months now so with all the money lost the gains will not be worth it. maybe in a very very long run loll
but yeah classes should have kept going and t/a's could have just picketed or what not.

that's correct, we're under a diff't agreement. masters level i was getting $36/hr. if it's true that york gets 10 hrs a week that could be a good deal for a small class size. for us it's 1 hr per student enrolled for the term. so depending on class size it could be good or bad.

Tyler Shipley, spokesperson for the members of CUPE 3903, said he was angry about the new bill.
"We are quite frankly disgusted by what's taken place here," he told CTV Toronto outside Queen's Park.

^^ Now that's funny......hahaha. What is really disgusting is that these unionized TA's can go on strike for 3 months and ruin the school year for thousands of students.

Get back to work you lazy *** TA's!

but when you think about it, dont you guys think that the TA's lost more money over those 3 months of no pay than what they would have gotten over the next half year if york would have agreed to the unions wishes? lol
big waste of time, and messed up a lot of students year. SUCKS
