i agree with most of the stuff said, except for marrying someone who is extremely similar to you...EGAD! i would kill the other person! differences are good...that way you always have your own thing to do or enjoy.
i find that money is what divorces are made of so, discussing financial matters WAY beforehand is important. also, i really believe that marital conseling before the wedding is a must. so, you know how to deal with future issues in a loving, respectable and rational matter. i also dont believe in getting married before the age of 25 b/c, like the article said, ppl usually dont have a firm grasp of who they are until around 27. 25 is a whack age...everyone goes through a quarter century crisis, which helps them to define who they are and what their long term goals are. although, there are always exceptions.
getting married for the sake of getting married is a divorce waiting to happen.
btw, I LOVE SiR_YO!

if you dont wanna get married, then dont. but it is a way of completing the relationship, otherwise the relationship is always open in a sense...it's easy to get out of. also, for many religious ppl, marriage is a must if you wanna live with someone and build a family with them...it's a part of their belief system.

"god" was created by humanity, therefore "marriage" was also created by humanity.
I don't lie about knowing the sociogical factors of the past that led to binding eachother to single mates, but that's not a practice necessarily conducted across the world (muslims and mormons for example) but a number of animals with higher intelligence also have single mates.

well, that's what you believe, but not an absolute truth by any means...unless you have some wicked piece of evidence that scholarly atheists dont even have on the non-existence of God.

well, there's much evidence for the existence of God. and i think the Bible can stand on it's own...it provides historical evidence that has been supported by other litterature. science itself provides evidence for creation as opposed to the ridiculous notion of macroevolution put forth by darwin, for which he did not provide evidence for (nb: i wrote MACROevolution, not MICROevolution).

i, in fact, am a scientist (completing my doctoral degree in pharmacology as we speak with specialization is some aspects of developmental biology as well as toxicology) and a true one at that b/c true scientists are not biased. by excluding the possibility of God is a biased perspective.
and i will leave it at that in accordance with Brian's wishes.

LOL, I wish nothing, just stating a fact.
It's good to be curious and to have your own belief's and disbelief's. There is something out there for everyone. I am not one that is going to tell someone else that there is a God or there isn't whatever my belief is. But we all have choices as to what we want to believe. This dispute whether there is a god or not will go on forever and probaby after we are all gone.
Just my 2 cents.......carry on.
