You know it's cold when

Looking at the car and you realize that she needs some TLC and you goto wash it and can't because the car soap is frozen!!!

I had to put it in hot water to get some soap out of the bottle.

This was after I tried using my massive jug of hand cleaner also FROZEN, at first i though it was just some of the cleaner frozen in the pump but the whole jug is frozen through!

Gotta love that great Canadian winter...

My hands were totally frozen after cleaning my car. The worst is when your drying off the car. For now I don't even bother wipping my car dry, I just let the water soak off the car.

Why dont you try to wash it at a power wash, but bring your own bucket. I think most of them have warm water.

Tell me you don't power wash your sol.
Dude it's hand wash only. (Not pressure washers/ touchless, there's no way i'm taking it into a regular scrap-o-rama wash) so that leaves hand washing only...

I do plug the hose into an inside washroom tap and use hot water only.

I'm so much a hot weather kind of guy... just look at the car i drive...

Ive power washed it once, when some *** sprayed the car with BBQ sauce!! It was an emergency, and I brought my own soap and bucket and washed it by hand. I just used the water to rinse the vechicle and soak it.

Just an idea, because it was on a cold and the water was warm....

Mike, you have all the friends and luck don't you...

If I didn't have a sol I'd take it to the touchless. But it even says in the manual NO POWER WASHERS or TOUCHLESS, it'll leak and damage the seals.

I take thw wife's Protege to the touchless, washing in the cold is too much of a pain!

Power washers are fine if you stand back. Thats what I do soemtimes. Stand back a bit from the car so its just a powerful mist at the car, wont do anyharm.

BTW: What's wrong with pressure washers, I took my mom's minivan there, what harm will it do?

It's okay for the average car, but cars like sols and convertables, targas to i guess, have a lot of rubber seals.

All that pressure will make water leak into the car and wear down the seals around the windows and roof.

I took (Christine's -my gf soon to be wife- car to the sonoco and water got through the seals in the trunk.) Imagine that happening to the main cabin!
