Your internet provider?!

Your internet provider?!
Give me the scoop Who do you use? What is the name of the service? How much do you pay monthly? Is it worth it? I'm shopping for a new provider. I need a fast and stable connection for mostly online gaming. Please don't suggest Rogers, as that is who I am leaving. Thanks in advance, your help will aid me in my decision.

i'm with rogers. call and complain that it is slow nonstop.
they eventually sent a guy to do some tests. he concluded that the lines on our street were old and they couldn't do anything until spring.
so he hooked up all the channels for free, and they dug like 120 feet to replace a bunch of the lines on my street in the spring. haha
he also gave me a signal amplifier cause i had so many splits.

your only REAL choices are Rogers Or Bell .... ive been on both in the past and honestly .. i prefer Bell ... only because when i use a router its constantly connected .. i dont have to reconfig **** every month when they decide to change my ip .. where as Bell just has a login and password that never changes ...
other than that speed wise .. meh .. if ur leaving rogers ..your going to bell .. unless u have othre providers like Cogeco but i think thats only im bumfukk no where heh .. aka. oakville

Ive been with rogers for 8 years or so. 10% VIP discount, and the 10% better choice bundle (we will get that once we switch the home phone over) discount for having home phone, digital cable, cellular and internet with rogers.

they are both pretty similiar, if your having problems with rogers give them a call first, maybe they will give you an incentive to stay....
I had Bell in the past....although Rogers isn't much better, I HATE dealing with bell a lot, their CS is total crap....

I moved into a loft recently, about 2 months ago. One day while my girl & I were painting, we decided to hook up the TV to see if maybe the cable had been left on. It had!! It's still going.. ALL of the channels. In the meantime, I have been using my buddy's connection, he's 2 doors down & is running a wireless network. He's moving in a few weeks, so there goes my free ride. I know that if I call Rogers to get the net, they will either cancel my cable or start charging me for it. I had Roger's at my parents place.. nothing special. Pretty much slow for most of the time, with often disconnects. Is the Bell Lite service any good?

It's been a decent router, but sometimes its had issues dropping connections on wireless to some of the Thinkpad notebooks we've had in the house, but we've never had a problem with dropped connections on any of the desktops (wired in), or on laptops using wireless cards....

I'm with bell for obvious reasons... the employee discount doesn't hurt much either ..
for a long time I was with Rogers ... I find in my area Bell is faster ... when highspeed stuff first came out Rogers was the only provider in the area for awhile and captured a good chunk of the market .. Bell took time to reach where I am .. so it's faster because everyone else is using cable and that slows it down...
