-music variety by station instead of having stupid DJs play crap from all over.
-really good sound quality

there is a station where i had 30% of the songs on mp3 in my car.. perfect for me.
i listen to ice cube, motorhead, RATM, and the transplants all in a 15 minute car ride!

you dont believe that jesus ever happened, but you think his fictional teachings are good?

so you dont like the people who follow jesus teachings because, YOU think they dont get it?

you are saying you need to be broke or without possessions in order to understand jesus teachings?

you cant own a diamond ring if you are a christian?

sometimes you are a funny guy...i respect your opinion, but not on these points.

only looking for the faults in things on most occasions keeps people from discovering the truths...cant see the forest for the trees.

i don't think the stories of jesus christ are facts. there are many people before jesus with his same stories/attirbutes.

i KNOW people don't get jesus christ, especially a lot of priests wearing all the bling and living the luxurious life.

i'm saying as a christian you should put no desire into useless baubbles such as diamonds. when a girl wants a diamond ring for $10,000 or even $5,000.. how can she say she understands the teachings of jesus, yet sit there with enough wealth on her finger to feed a homeless kid down the street for a few years? i've only met a few christians who i would call christian.

there are zero facts when looking at religion except it blackmails people into behaving and being polite.. and that doesn't seem to work as well.

if you're only good to get into heaven than you're a selfish *****.

wearing a diamond ring that could give you an amazing honeymoon, really interesting life time experiences, or that could help the poor.... i don't see how you would be able to call yourself a follower of christ.

don't forget, your boy JC himself stated that there are no rich people in heaven.

that means the pope and the other CEOs of christian franchises are not going to be dancing in the glory of the lord.

or maybe jesus didn't know what he was talking about.

Tis amazing how such an establishment (churches) never have to pay any tax, yet, they still have a need for money. It's great that people are using churches for community services and extra-curricular activities, yet money is still a demand for the usage for the facilities.

bruce, you are judging people by the rings they wear? have you seen the financial records of these people? do you know how much they give away? we all have stupid little desires and to think that i cant have a ring because i follow christ lame. i know people who have nice possessions and give away 30-40% of what they make to others, its when you are controlled by possessions that you have a problem.

i think you were referring to this passage about "no rich people in heavan". notice thats not what he said...

Luke 18:18-23 (with the context of vss. 24-30 also)
[18] A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
[19] "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good -- except God alone. [20] You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.'"
[21] "All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said.
[22] When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
[23] When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth.
[24] Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! [25] Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

what you said is like me saying because one black person steals all black people are
thieves...some wacky christians do not represent the whole group.

i've gone on a few church youth group camp weekends. every deacon i've ever met has been really cool, it's the priests i don't like. the last deacon i knew quit the church!

these idiots broke a picnic table. i made a few of them help me take one from an empty site, then chopped the broken one with my hatchet and burned the entire thing through the course of my night. this is also basically when i met my current gf of 4 years.

good impressions last forever.

--

i knew one priest who had been in high speed chases with police. he had tons of speeding tickets.

my favourite was the priest who wanted to rent a hall at a building my mom worked at. "how will the church pay for the hall" was answered by the priest this "we will pray for you." following by him chuckling.... they ended up not getting the hall.

ask anyone who is in a business with a church.. and not a follower of that group.. they will tell you how shady they are.

It's all about the money!

no, it's more like me saying i've met 50 black guys. 49 of them bragging about being a thug and waved guns in the air. then on TV, the only black guys i see, are ones waving guns in the air yelling '***** what, yo MTV raps!'. then in the media i hear about black guys complaining about black on black violence, but being okay with black on white violence.

my conclusion at this point would be that black guys are basically all idiots and i would have no problems saying this.

fortunately, i grew up in scarborough, i know enough of them coloured folk, to know this is not the case.

---

i don't believe in saying one thing and doing another.

i'm not sure why you quoted the bible passage, as all it does is show i'm not taking things out of context.

JC is saying you should give your diamond away and not care about these things if you want to get into the VIP line for the after party. people who value diamonds suffer from the sin of greed and pride.

having a diamond ring is not the issue, coveting the ring is...the ruler wouldnt give up his possessions because he had many. possession owned him...

The sad thing is that you never hear of the good things like this in the media. All you hear is murder, rape, all the horrible things. One thing Micheal Moore did point out very well was how much the media puts fear into peoples lives.

Fear is a key factor of control.
