Brighter HID
hey guys, I have an Infiniti Qx4 that comes stock with the HID lights, but i notice that some cars like BMW even the 300c's appear to be brighter, is there a way I can make my lights brighter then stock? do i have to change the whole unit?

post pics of your HIDs please. I think I can help.
or you can just say if they are projector or reflector type.
to make them truly BRIGHTER... there is nothing you can do. but by saying BRIGHTER, I assume you mean more ricer color. if they are reflector, then nothing you can do, if they are projector, you can bend the shileds a lil to get more color from the cutoff.

no help, pic too tiny. it LOOKS like reflector, in which case the only thing you COULD do but I don't recommend is a 6000K bulb. higher K bulb can affect ballast/ignitor life, both of which are $$$ to replace.
6000K bulb is less bright, but will give you more of that ricer color that you seem to desire. why not just turn up your 4000 watt stereo in order to draw attention to yourself??

oh so you really want more, brighter light?? LOL cuz the way you were making it seem was you want a louder stereo, so I assumed with that mentality, you'd want bluer lights haha my bad...
yeah like I said then, you don't have any options for those stock lights then. what I recommend is picking up a set of Hella HID driving lights, which have a pencil style beam, so they project HID light much farther down the road but they keep the light low almost like a fog light type deal. VERY expensive, but if you wanna invest in your safety, then absolutely a good idea.

Hella also has a square type projector if you wish.
