Buildup of my EF hatch... 56k go bake a cake

Hey,

this is the very slow change of the appearence of my civic.... i have been workin on this car for about 2 weeks from the start of disassembly till now... paint tomorrow night

this is my first EVER bodywork so keep that in mind


let me know....
color is going to be sunburnt orange metallic(looks copper)

yeah you can.... but i wont do as good of a job... this is a big effing job... remove engine and all the other stuff was a day by itself!

and there is so much sanding to do its unreal....

but im getting the hang of it so its going faster all the time....


and i did the 16 swap unassisted... first ever swap...
who else uses a tractor for an engine hoist?:P

^^ I've used a tractor for a engine hoist before and a back hoe to! Did you do any metal cutting to get rid of rust?

no metal cutting!

the only welding i had to do on the entire car was the custom work i did for shaving the engine bay...
the car was origonally from texas so they dont have winter as harsh there...


update! first coat of paint is on... i will have pics tomorrow morning.....


OMFG copper with metallic flake looks SICK!

BTW... i have done 99% of this myself... only had a friend come over to help show me how to spray(set up the gun and technique)

jeppa i have about a box of new ziplock bags holding all my nuts andf i labeled it with a permanent marker.....


its basically a milk crate full of ziplock bags with nuts and bolts in them.... i saw this trick done before... and it works

so do it.... if you do it yourself, expect the car to outta commision for a while and if you get it done by a pro have money for this extensive of a job(engine and interior removal etc)

dan, you can do it... but yours will look like ****... unlike mine will....
