Can under-steering-column wires power this up? (Neon)

*NEW* 12" Blue Cold Cathode w/Dual Inverter
Tube diameter: 3.0 mm Features: High brightness
Tube legnth: 300 mm Long life
Inverter voltage: 620 V High reliability
Current draw: 5.0 mA Vibration proof
Brightness: 29,000 cd/m2
Lifetime: 30,000 hours
Packaging: Retail
So is that info for one tube, theres 4 tubes total (2 kits)...
What I want to do is hook it up to the door switch, so when door opens, the lights turn on, courtesy lights , you think it'll be strong enough?

Thanks gatherer
BBRicer, always ask yourself before you modify ANYTHING.... why am I doing this, and what do I hope to accomplish. What is the best way to get to what I'm trying to get at.
Anything that you wanna mod, but can't aswer these questions, you will regret modding at all.

yes, its do-able
oh, and neon and cold cathodes arent the same
btw, those things are made for computer cases, so i'd becareful with them in a automobile. cause neons usually have protective features (then again they are vibration proof)... also, if its a cheap inverter, try to avoid touching it with your hand, or else you'll get a nice 620v shock cause some of them arent protected at all.

Can someone draw up a schematic on how to do this circuit, sorry but isnt the door trigger a positive wire? I'm confused, schematics would be nice inany format!
These have an acrylic tube outside of the cold cathode, these are the same as neon, gas filled.
Thanks all!

Heres a picture of a relay, can someone draw a schematic, I've tried to figure out how it cam work but I can't think of a way...
