Cracked windsheild!!! Is it still safe to drive? And where to replace??

Hi,

My dad's Subaru Legacy has a cracked windsheild. First question is, is it still safe to drive on the highway? Second, anyone know a cheaper place to get it replaced?

Thanks!

my windsheild is cracked, i have been driving around with my bullet hole for about 3 months, im hoping it doesnt stretch during the winter..

for a new windshield your looking at about 350-400
i found a place that will do mine for 200$, but i would rather spend that 200$ on gsr seats, lcas and other misc. ek goodies.

The crack is right across the windsheild! From left to right! I think we should get this done ASAP.

i've had a cracked windshield on my beater since the summer. caught a stone at the top of the windshield and before i got home it was a crack more than 6" long. if it didn't crack i'd have tried to get the chip fixed. oh well. i don't expect it will ****** much further than it has.

as long as the crack isn't in your line of sight you shouldn't have a problem. i know that kind of crack will not allow you to get a car safetied.

if ure worried about the glass breaking and falling into the car while ur on the highway or something... u dont need to. If windshields broke apart that easy, then people wouldnt be driving with cracked windshields.
