cutting out quater panels

how do i know where to cut?
cutting them out to sell
off my eg


dunno where to cut tho...
any1 got a pic or diagram or somtin t help?

Here is what the cross canada quarter panels i got look like on the car. You could take out more metal, even the whole side of the car i've seen. The black magic marker lines is where the panel went to, i trimmed it before welding though.

the eg is different from the ef quaters.

for eg they sold the ENTIRE quater piece.
for the ef they only sold the wheel well arc.

and usually when people are trying to sell of bodypanels already existing on a car u dont just cut it you cut according to customer specs. whatever the customer wants thats how much gets cut.

If you cant wait for the buyer to tell you what he needs its always better to have more instead of less. It can always be trimmed later.

where can u get the 1/4's i been lookin everywhere for a place to buy them besides the dealer, im lookin to get my whole car done very soon and i wanna supply all the body parts that i need.

part # 290950-f1 290950-f2 total 340$ plus tax for both rear 1/4 on 92-95 hatch

this is what i would cut if i were u, seeing as u are parting out the car. If u do it that way, you would have more then enuff material, which is better then not enuff plus some people have rust that goes all the way up to gas door.

If your cutting out your existing quarter go big, as much as possible, its only a little more effort, let the installer do the final sizing,
