Talking Damnit

So I'm on my way out to lunch today when I go to my car and what do I see, a foot long scratch on my rear quarter panel going along my gas tank lid. Looks like someone keyed the ******* thing. It wasn't there this morning so I know it happened at work. I'm so ******* mad right now. It's not to deep but if you brush your finger along it, there is a groove. It's really noticeable too. Can anyone suggest the best way to get it fixed.

Thanks.

you can try Meguire's Scratch X but it sounds like the scratch is a little too deep for any over-the-counter scratch remover to work...

How about buffing it? Or taking it to a car detailing place.

Actually there seems to be some punk doing it to a number of cars in the parking lot. So far I am victim number 4.

There's a bunch of scratch remover stuff on the market right now, but I'd stick with products from Mother's or Meguiars. They will more likely hide the mark, rather than remove it completely though. But if you can feel a groove with your finger then it sounds pretty deep, so you may need professional help for it.

too bad to hear, if it's an in depth scratch the scratch remover kits won't help you, it may fade it a bit but you'll still see it.

You'll have to bring it to a body shop and get the scratch filled up, sanded, primed, painted and buffed in with your quarter panel
