Ok as most people probably know I own an '88 SI Hatch.. The rear lock is jammed or busted and I can only open the hatch from the inside.. I am thinking about shaving the keyhole and sticking a door popper on it. My question is do they make a kit for this.. If not does anyone have any rough plans or can talk me through fabricating my own system.. Anyhelp is great thanks!!

Well.. I know what a Door Popper is.. My question was so they make a kit to mount one on the rear hack of an '88 civic or do I need to fabricate my own mounting hardware... If their are kits where can I snag one and for roughly how much?

actually a door popper is not what you want.
u want a trunk solenoid.
what it is is basically a metal cable hooked up to a solenoid and when u activate the solenoid it will pull the trunk release and will basically pop the trunk.

they dont have kits for this.
all you do is buy the trunk solenoid and then hook it up with ur trunk release cable OR your actual trunk lock and when u activate it is will pop the trunk fromt he latch and then u just open it.
