friends car got something poured on it and paint bubbled to the metal

well not really a friend.... i was leaving a friends apartment downtown the other day and when i was walking to my car i saw a fairly new honda civic with painted bubbled all over the hood and it some places no paint at all just bair metal..... i know it must have happen over night because i remember seeing that same car the day before.... **** VANDALISM!! what the hell could they have put on the guys hood to eat it right to the metal ??? normal paint thinner wouldnt do that i dont think would it ??
