Exclamation Front turn signals

Hey,

Just wondering if the stock amber turn signals are the only legal ones...When my dad bought his car it came with white/blue turn signals and they look amazing, so I am wondering if it is worth it for me to buy some new ones that are white/blue. Any info you guys have is appreciated, thanks.

I'v seen some new BMW and Lexus cars that had white/blueish turn signals.. not sure if there after market.. but they looked really nice..

but as luvmycivic said.. I would stick with orange/amber turn signals unless you wanna fork out $110 bucks for a ticket.

White turn signals are ok, but the blue ones will land you a ticket. I see more and more late models have clear white turn signals like kracker said about the BMWs and the Lexus. Don't get blue ones.

Actualy, all those new BMWs and whatnot you see with the white turn signal lights,
Take a look at the colour of the bulb when its flashing, its still amber.
Only the lense is clear/white.

As far I know,
You'll still get a ticket for a white flashing light

^^ correct

the blue and white bulbs in turn signals are illegal (if somebody tells you they never got a ticket for it is a different story...you will still risk it). you can have a white or clear turn signal cover...but the bulb should always be amber.

ya i too use amber ones after changing my rear lights to the red and white sir tails i looked around for the orange bulbs to get them replaced but i do see some of these newer model cars with white tails and i doub these old folks have modified the light bulbs as they are fairly new stock cars.

I just did a search and in Canada, it's not legal to have front white turn signal, but in the States, they're ok.. Go figure.

Is that site from Canada cuz it says right in it
"Incorrect color of turn signal. It must be white or yellow to the front, red or yellow to the rear (24953 VC). "

that means white is a-ok

The bulb might say SAE approved, but it must be behind yellow lenses.

I'm pretty sure I remember in the HTA that front signals could be white or amber... didn't matter, and rear signals had to be red or amber...

I don't have time to find the link, but I remember there was one on the old forums...

blue will get you a ticket because blue is for snowplows and po-po's only...
