Is the H&R Sport Springs A Good Drop?
I hope in about 3-4 weeks, I will be purchasing the H&R Sport Springs. But here's my dilemna, in some pictures it looks like its not lowered that much at all and doesn't make difference and some other pictures it looks a like a good drop (I read in about 4 weeks, they springs will settle it...it will lower even more). I would go for the Race springs, but its going to be a daily driver, my driveway is pretty steep upon entering it and probably have trouble driving around the city with potholes, speed bumps, so lots of scraping. Also I would need a camber kit, aftermarket performance shocks is a must and on top of that I have the Civic Type R front lip. I am looking 70% looks and 30% performance, I want it lowered but not slammed but you can tell it's been dropped, I don't plan on taking it to the track since its only got the d16y7 but I would like to a stiffer ride and less body roll. So my question is, are the sport springs a good drop?
IF I do decide a to go with sport springs, Is the camber kit really necessary with the sports? what other things do I need to really enjoy the new springs?
Thanks,
Fred
Here's how it currently sits on stock springs:

The Sports are a perfect drop. I'm finding the Red's a little too stiff for the bumpy Hamilton roads. But they are set on the stiffest setting, so this weekend I'm removing them so I can adjust them to a softer setting. You can't go wrong with H&R or Koni products.

I have Neuspeed sport springs and they provide a nice drop like H&R sports and the ride handling in terms of comfort is amazing. It's like being in a lowered car but having the spring rate of stock suspension. Don't listen to everyone saying you need aftermarket shocks, you don't really. With race springs or coilovers you do need shocks but not with Sports. My 99 hatch has gone through different kinds of bumps and I haven't heard any banging noise from the car. Ride handling I say is soft but not overly done, it's all good.
