headlight moisture??
Hey guys, I have a 2000 civic Si(r), and bought black housing headlights a few months ago. I notice now sometimes that there's moisture in the headlights. I was under the impression that those elbow-shaped rubber pieces at the back of the headlights was there to let out moisture, but i guess it's not working.
Any suggestions? any help or advice is greatly appreciated

You could have a gap between the lense and the housing. If so silicone it. The rubber thing in the back does not do much since the housing is sealed and when you put the bulb in, it should seal it of.
If you do happened to see a gap between housing and lense, just use a shop vac to suck all the moisture out and then silicone the whole headlight, just to be safe.

^ Yeah that.
Also, the rubber gromet that the bulb sits into sometimes gets folded in or over, and that can cause some condensation. (I've seen it happen twice) Make sure the bulb is seated properly. (and there are no cracks in the lens)

oh ok i see what you're saying......makes sense. cuz i was planning on putting HID's in there, but want to make sure that moisture doesn't mess things up.
Next question, if i was to crack open the housing, how do i do that? with a heat gun?
