HIDS + moisture/water

Im planning on getting HIDS for my car, but my headlights have a crack on the inside of them. Do HIDS get ruined if they are exposed to water/moisture ?

A good quality HID will not be affected.

get ur headlight fixed before you spend 300 bucks on hids

or whatever your paying

a head light shoudln't cost that much
why risk owning your HIDS over a 60-100 dollar fix
then in the end your going to have to buy a new headlight and a new set of hids which will well cost over what your trying to save now

If you buy a good set of HID's you wont need to go through the trouble of doing that. But if it puts your mind at ease, go for it

had a leak on my headlight housings, had cheap HIDs did not get affected. Don't depend on it though. Rub a smooth layer of clear silicone on the crack of the headlight for now.
