I think its because of the yellow foglights that were available in Japan, they figure yellow bulbs are JDM too.

Gentlemen, please play nice. Yellow headlight bulbs aren't something new. They've been around for at least 10 years if not more. Granted, some JDM cars in Japan do have amber headlights but, it doesn't classify all amber headlights as being JDM. Some UK vehicles also come amber. I've used Nokya amber bulbs before and I liked em and never had a problem with police...however, others have. What the difference was, I have no idea. I've even gone as far as using 2500k Hella H.I.D.s before and also haven't had a problem with them...I loved em and loved it's ability to provide effective lighting in all weather conditions. It's really your choice tho...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I used em for long enough that now, I've got 4300k HIDs instead now. If you want to go yellow, go for it. Pacific Mall's got em...Formula Import. Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Buddah.

i used nokya yellows for quite some time... box says they project 2500k... they honestly just dont feel as bright because of the color and that was ultimately the issue for me. supposedly these are the best color to have for bad weather (fog, snow)... and ive driven through my share of both and they are pretty good. imo, with just your regular superwhite you'll get a better view. now if it's looks youre after... yellow bulbs are pretty jdm/edm toit... lol...

bottom line is... been using prolumen 6000k for a few weeks now and im never looking back...........

hope that helps.. reviving an old thread cuz ive been seeing a lot of people running these from time to time.

if i had fog lights id definitely be using yellow bulbs in them.
