Need help, anyone here good at body work?

Need to cut a hole in my hood in a specific shape (don't ask).

Whats the best way to get a nice clean cut without destroying the hood?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

what you cutting?

best is to put some tape over the whole area of where you wanna cut.
place what ever you are using to trace your shape needed over top of the tape.
after your shape is drawn on the hood now use your cut off wheel and cut away slowly.

it is thin so try not to cut away the support bars in the hood till you have removed and cut the part of hood you wanted to remove. then cut what ever supprots are in the way.

for any curves or round cuts you can use a jigsaw with a metalblade.

well actually....no...jk.

Not putting a 'scoop' on it. You'll have to come out to the meets this summer and see.

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I'm gonna use a dremmel with a small thin cutting disk. And yes it's a must to put tape down first before you cut to prevent scratching and burrs.
