new car..safety and emission help please**

I just bought a new civic and i have a question....
the car is not plated....so i can i take it to get the safety done and get the permit and emission...without towing...is their a way i can drive without plates....no dealer plates either....

You can get a temp 10 day permit from the mto, you just need proof of insurance I believe.

^^ yep this is the proper way to do it... you need to purchase your used car package, register the car in your name, have insurance and purchase plates. after all that you can buy a 10 day permit for dollars. You can only buy 1 a year now so plan to get every thing done at the same time.

i have the car registed on my name...
so first step is insurance
then permit??

What my buddy did was take his parenets insurance wrote down the policy number, changed few numbers and got his temp plate. Kinda risky but if you are tight on cash then its cheapest way
