Opening / Painting Altezza's

Does anyone have any tips on how to open them up and paint them?

planning on matching the chrome with the colour of the car

any advice?

I believe there is already a how to article regarding headlights, procedure should be the same for altezzas. Check it out in the article section.

damn it i want to do that too and i never saw anyone with them done, **** every new idea i come up with for my car someone else already has it. Anyway there should be clips to remove the cover with no problems and them u might have to reseal it im not too sure and just get plastic paint or a special plastic dye for them and get the specific color code, that's what im going to do.

They are probably melted together. You might break/crack them if you try. they are not put together with silicone like the headlight's. Trust me, I tied to do the same thing with my clear corners. They started to crack, so I stopped.

Are you painting the inside of your tails with chrome paint? Or the outside, like smoking them ?

i painted the inside chrome of the tails black, it didnt crack, nor did it show signs of cracking......just bake em in the oven

ya a bit 3 months ago late so how did they turn out, any pics? they must look really nice. I had the same idea in mind also but i dyed my stock tails all red instead and they look really nice, so im happy with it.
