Exclamation Philips Blue Vision UltraBlue 4000K

I know this topic has been beaten to death but does anyone have these installed? and how do they look?

http://www.powerbulbs.com/bvoffer.htm

If I ordered from them they throw in these corner bulbs but wouldn't this be illegal for me to use in Canada?

so they're just marker lights??
or are they signals..

i got caught in a "spot check" in Hamilton a couple weeks back, and the only thing they had an issue with was that my "blue/whites" become flashing blue when i hit the signals..
sure they shine white, but when they dim a bit there's a blue tinge to them..

they never said shyt tho about my marker lights or headlights..

I placed an order with powerbulbs.com two weeks ago, and i did recieve the free peanuts.

I have no use for them because my EG doesn't use peanut bulbs, so I can't tell you what the look like when they are on.

They would only be illegal depending on where you put them.

The would be fine for the corners lights in EF's...because the turn signal is down on the bumper.

They might work on your EK...but I don't where they need to be installed.

1niceSi: Which lights did you order from Powerbulbs? Are they any good? I'm planning on ordering a pair of the Philips Blue Vision UltraBlue 4000K.

Everyone: Has anyone used the Philips Blue Vision UltraBlue 4000K?

I think my post did not appear clear but I'm asking the exact same question as hondasport_7.. Also asking about the side corners they send with an order.. I mean if the bulb is like a hyper white bulb then it should turn amber when i signal since i have an amber reflector..

From what I think you're asking about the side signals, the answer is no. I also have a 99 Si and I've got some white bulbs for turn signals and they don't "turn amber" when I turn on my signals. When I signal, it's white coz of the bulb.

There's an amber reflector in the headlight assembly, but it doesn't really affect the bulb. When I had the stock orange bulb inside, the whole thing appeared orange since it was just the reflection but now with the white bulb (it has a blue tint), the area appears blue since it's all just reflection.

Hope this helps...

I went to crappy tire to check out the sylvania cool blues but the bastards don't carry H4's... I was talking to a guy there and he told me how he has them on his car and how it is much better than stock and there's no hint of yellow; just a blue/whiteish light.. Anyone know where I can find this?

don't bother with cool blues, they're pretty much the same as stock bulbs...still pretty yellowish in colour.

get the silverstars, much much better...much whiter.

Whatever you do avoid Xenon Eurolites!! i just put them on my car and although they look nice the light coming out of them is absolutely PATHETIC. even on high beam i think my stock lights on regular outshine these things. i cant imagine driving with these lights on a country road with no street lights.

Yeah I won't buy those eurolite ones.. I'd rather go for quality although I read some bulbs can last for a while... 8FUN8CVC, do you have the Osram silverstars from powerbulbs.com?? Would you happen to have a pic of them on your ride? Thanks..

P.S I was reading past threads and saw that you bought the sylvania silverstars and you wanted to sell them? What's up with that?

dammit!...i typed a bunch of stuff as a reply and it's telling i haven't logged in and when i tried to log in.....anyway, everything i typed was lost....S&%T!!!

anyhow, i have those sylvania silverstars, not those osram's from powerbulbs.com

don't know if they're both the same in colour and output, etc. tho. but for sure sylvania's are white tho but not like those eurolite "white".
that's why i wanted to sell them cuz i was expecting like those eurolite "white" but after having them for a bit i actually like them and they match my signals beautifully!

wish i have a digi cam.....looking for one by the way.
