Hi,

Car: 99 Civic Si

Issue #1:
I just bought a 99 Civic Si and my passenger power mirror is not working. I can hear the motor running and moving but for some reason the mirror itself doesn't move. Anyone know how to take it off and attach it if possible?

Issue #2:
I think my wiper is loose cuz when I tried to move it up and down from outside, it moves up and down for like 1-1.5inches. I check the bolt (or whatever they call it that's holding the wiper) and its tight.

Wiper works but when I go to the highway and the rain is pouring hard, my wiper goes all the way to the edge of the windshield.

You can just take off the door panel and there should be a latch connecting it. It mihgt be broken though.

When did he day there was an issue with the windows?

As for the mirror, sounds like the teeth on the motor that move it are stripped or broken inside. If you really need it to work, I'd just find a used one at a scrap yard and then test fit it and check to make sure it works then paint if needed.

The wipers, the play seems fairly normal and so does the sweep radius you mentioned. there may be play in the linkage for the wiper arms under the cowl. If the wiper is hitting the frame of the window, you could loosen the nut and move the wiper a bit the opposite direction and tighten it back down, just be sure to test it before you drive off to see if the other wiper hits it now or if it's working as desired.
