Problem with Projector Headlights
OK so I bought these projector headlights from PI like a month ago, they look just like these ones;
When I first put them in I was having trouble with the highbeams staying on when the lights were off, but someone here told me to pull the DRL fuse, that worked great.
Now, a few weeks later I went to go out to McDonalds last night, tuned my headlights on...and nothing! Marker lights came on, high beams come on when flicked, but no low beam...WTF! the bulbs look ok, I tried plugging in the stock lights and they work fine... I know this is a shot in the dark (bad pun, I know) but has anyone else here had this problem, or does anyone have an idea?
Thanx

how many watts are your night bulbs? you probably have H3 bulbs, you cannot touch the glass otherwise it will blow after a few days of use. If your running a system they say thier is a good chance that they will blow b/c of the power being taken away from the bulb to the base then after the base pounds the batt power goes straight to the bulb. Try plugging in a new H3 bulb so you can check if your bulbs are blown. this happened to me so it could be the same problem. hope this helps, let me nkow how it goes.

my H3's burn out ALLLL the time. First set burnt out in 2 weeks!
Do NOT touch the bulb, wipe clean of ANYTHING!
Damian is right, check with another bulb. Walmart H3 55 watt is 6 bucks.
Then if it were the bulbs, go get new ones. ONLY the same wattage that the headlights came with.
Damian, what do you mean by power drawn by the system? I'm curious now.

I'll try new bulbs, other than when I pulled them out to check I've never touched them, I'm not sure what kind the bulbs are, they're tiny though... I do have a couple of high current Rockford amps, maybe that does hurt them, seems weird, but possible.

For anyone who's interested... I found the problem, I went in to PI and borrowd a harness from another set of lights, when I plugged it in it worked, my harness was way to hard to remove (mounted it inside the bumper beam) so I just replaced a relay that I borrowed from the working harness and it's all good!
