quarter panel rust

hey i did a search but for some reason all the threads wouldn't work for me.

what i am wondering is if typical honda quarter panel rust repair and quaters repaint is worth $700

the quarters are geting pretty bad and those rust repair panels are going to be used but other metal work is needed to repair slightly beyond the repair panels coverage

do you think this is a good deal?

can't you just go to some wreckers and get you a mint or lil rust quarter panel and paint it fresh

Ya man, much cheper to find one at a wreckers or on the for sale section. You might get lucky and find one in good shape and the colour of your car.

I just took care of my rust but grinding out the rust and bondo filling it, sand then prime it all. paint is coming.

However this car is my beater and I really don't care about appearance. If this was a nice car, i'd pay the $700 and have it done.

My cost for repair was $60 materials + $35 for a case of beer + $5 for Advil from the beers so $100

yeah right if you guys can find a car with mint 1/4 panels on both sides at a wreckers then your doing pretty good. i have looked and the only one i found in one years search was good on one side but i later realized most of it was bondo

plus if i get the repair panels at 100 or so bucks a peice it is worth it to get the clean edge and factory lines

you get what you pay for.
simple as that.

if a shop is quoting you that price usually they tend to do a better job then a shop that is charing you say 400.
