rim painting

so im stuck on wut kind of rims to get i cant decide so for this summer im gonna paint my stock rims there reallyyyyy ugly but i thought id pimp them out a bit wut do u guys think of this color on a green coupe .i know its a bad photoshop but u get the idea.

PPL, please... anyone thinking of painting STOCK wheels.... STOP right there. consider what you're doing.

save the money that you are going to use to buy paint, put it in a piggy bank with putting away a couple dollars here and there, then in a couple months you will have some nice cash.

ya save up or try some different stock rims.......those one woulnd't look good in another colour...

ye i guess so but i wud rather put 1000 dollars towards a new suspension setup like shocks and springs than wheels and rims i guess there no way of cheaply making those rims look somewhat beter lol

thing is you're putting rims from 1988 on a car that's a 1995. it ages the car and makes it look like a junkyard special. save five bills and put it towards some GSR wheels.

you can pick up rims for good prices in the classifieds, 400 bux can buy u some decent ones with tires... No point trying to make your old acura wheels look better, they'll always be ugly IMO

I can't find the pic but someone painted their steelies gloss black and then polished the lip on the steelie....it looked really good!

ye black wudnt look too bad wut grit shud i start of with to sand the original down 300 then once doen that primer them then resand it with wut grit?then after that do i re-primer it or paint it ?

Just paint some steelies flat black and tell everyone they are your winters. when people ask why your driving with you winter rims in the spring/summer, tell em your good ones were riped off from your garage during the winter hahahahaha.
they might feel for ya and give ya a deal on some new ones hahaha
