Scratchless Car Bra?

Scratchless Car Bra?
Hey,
Well its looking like I may have to drive my CRX this winter for the 1st time.
Besides getting winter tires and doing the rust proofing, I was also looking into getting a bra for the front end.
Can anyone recommend a car bra that doesn't scratch up the front end?
Thanks

They will all scratch your paint regardless. The front end bra will hold alot fo road sand and salt which will then rub against your paint while you drive.
You could wash it out, but definitly do not remove it during the winter as you'll never get it back on. The material doesn't stretch well in cold temperatures. Many brands reccommend they be put on it mild weather so you can stretch them around the front end.
I bought one last winter and it did more worse than good imo. Stay away form them if at all possible.

I disagree with jaysi on this one. I have an OEM Honda bra for my car for the winter. It fits perfect, and does stretch a bit for an even better fit. Yes they do cause mild surface scratches, but I think thats nothing compared to stone chips or the big chunks of salt they use on the roads. All of the tiny scratches I got from the bra came right out when I polished it in the spring.

OR best thing ever for stone chips its made by 3M. This material is transparent and is some sort of adhesive. Kinda like saranwap. It is better to have a professional install it for you. The advantage is that sunlight will get to the paint and therefore you'll get even paint fade. You can also have it applied to your lights to protect them from chip stones.
This stuff is extremely strong.

Ya I had considered the 3M thing, but I would like to possibly repaint my car next spring.
I just think its better to prevent a massive stone chip and have to deal with the smaller scratches.
As for an OEM bra, the chances that I'll find an OEM bra are next to nil...
I wonder if its even worth getting a bra though... I dunno...
