Question Shaved door handles good or bad??

I have some question, I would like to know what people think about shaved door handles, and I would also like to know how much it cost for the poper kit, and for my last question in the winter would the popers not working properly thanks to the cold weather??

if your getting your car painted its not a bad idea. IMO they look good shaved on certain cars. The popper kits can be a bit pricey if u get a good one like the auto-loc kits. If you get a crappy actuator it may fail in the winter although most of the time you just have to activate the popper more than once so the spring will push out the door enough.

There are ways around it, i know a few people with shaved handles who daily drive there cars. Basically if its that serious that the emergency crews need to get into your car there not gonna be opening to door with the handle. Also if you have a t-top, convertable or anything like that its completely legal to have shaved handles.

nope. emergency vehicles need to be able to open the door via a handle, but in accidents, there is always the "Jaws of life "

I personally would never do it just cuz I know people who got locked out of their cars when the actuators broke and ****.

the auto-loc popper setup comes with an extra switch that you mount hidden somewhere in-case you lock yourself out of the car. Like I said I know people who have certified there car with shaved handles and been pulled over and not questioned. Its just like anything else, if a cop wants to hassle you they can.

i have shaved rear door handles on my 4dr and had no problems with it ... i have the auto-loc kit which cost around $420 for 2 popper kits ... they are pricey but imo are worth it, especially if they are frequently used

in my 7th gen, theres two pull strings in sedans to fold down the 60/40 seats, you could easily crawl through.

If you were building a pure show car I would say go for it if thats your thing. Even maybe if it was only a summer only car.

But since you mentioned that you're gonna drive your car during the winter...

don't even bother... you need to think about the purpose of what your car is for and what you're using it for.

To me sounds like its a purely daily driven car, keep that in mind when you mod your car.
