Yes I did see the templates, I did some research before posting and I yes it seems easy, but don't feel confident lol. Interior I just add tape to hold whatever in place but this is different. Also for rust, I could spray with rust check and clearcoat it I guess, to make sure it doesn't rust?

I've checked around with different body shops in my area, they range from $60 - $80 a side. Yeah, okay, I did mine myself.
If my front quarter panel rusts, oh well, there is a chance of it, you can look at it as a learning opportunity to do your own body work, or just replace the quarter panel.

ive had them in for 2 winters an still no rust. its all in the prep work and you wont have any problems. i tried the template from h-t initally and it was too small. maybe it was printed out too wrong but i had to measure the size my self.
good luck with what ever you choose

Just a brief of how I did mine...
Make/download template.
Print template (a few copies)
Grab a piece of cardboard, cut the template out of it, see how well it fits the sidemarker you want to install. (this gives you an idea of how you need to cut to maek ti work)
Attach the template to the area you want to cut, measure, measure, and measure again, set the other side up, measure, measure again, compare teh two, measure, did I mension measure, make sure it's level to the body and not your line of sight.
Cut, small, cut straight, cut from the inside out, don't cut along the lines, first do a square, then outward cut to make the template shape.
Once you get enough cut out, do test fits witht he sidemarker, cut a little more, test fit, cut, test fit.
grind the edges carefully to remove the metal filings.
Dab on some primer around the cut area, *a applied a lot on the edges and the backside of the hole.* let it dry, apply touch up paint, I added liberal amounts again. Use some silicon around the edges to make a seal (this is optional), insert sidemarker, done. (make sure you run your wires)
That's it.

Card board was to check the template out.
I had Clear s2k type sidemarkers, and the template was for ep3 or something, so it was a good way to make sure the template was proper.
Also... the card board, you can flip and get the exact same 'silhohette' for the hole.

i did my own side markets as well... as mentioned above its all in the prep work... its scary at first but if you take your time, double check your work, and have a bit of fun you should be fine and you'll appreciate them even more in the end.
