okay i had a dent that my friends fixed up quick. i have a small square of primer black on my drivers side. about 4 gas filler door size big. so I was wondering, is the black on my car the same as the black on a spray paint. I was going to get a high gloss black paint and just spray paint over the part which is primered. with added clear coat of course. you think it would look alright given i get the right spray paint?

 

probably woulden;t look the same as original

but it would look less noticeable then primer, good for a temp fix

 

Go to Can tire and get the matching paint. then buy a small can of clear coat. That should take care of it for now. Fix it proper when time and finances permit.

 

if you want it not to be noticable paint the whole piece, like if it's fender paint the whole fender.....
shouldn't be that much more work and you will be pleased with the result
